What to expect on a Taster Session
A Taster Session will set you on your Makaton journey by offering a practical introduction to the Makaton Communication Programme and a broader understanding of various learning and communication differences.
Taster Sessions are topic-based and can be customised to meet your specific requirements for the theme of the session.
This informal training provides valuable information about the Makaton Communication Programme, illustrating how it can be effectively utilised in different settings to support language development and communication.
During the session, participants will learn the signs and symbols for over 45 useful everyday concepts, including 12 concepts tailored to the theme of the session, ensuring it best fits your group or setting.
List ‘A’ features 34 essential everyday signs and symbols, while List ‘B’ offers additional signs and symbols for 12 more concepts relevant to the theme of the session.
